Meet Carey Baker
A Soldier. A Family Man. A Conservative Fighter. The Constitution is in his DNA.
The Constitution Is In My DNA.
More than 238 years ago, my fifth great-grandfather, Judge Samuel Baker, answered his country's call in the halls where our Republic was being born. In 1788, he was chosen as a delegate to the Massachusetts Convention that voted to ratify the United States Constitution.
His "yea" vote helped establish the greatest governing document ever written: a Constitution that has preserved liberty for generation after generation of Americans.
His son, my fourth great-grandfather, Edward Baker, answered a different call. He had served in the Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution. Standing before his Revolutionary War grave marker, I was reminded that our freedoms were not simply debated into existence. They were won through courage and sacrifice.
More than two centuries later, I had the honor of wearing our nation's uniform for 31 years, retiring as an Army First Sergeant after serving in combat during the Iraq War.
Today, I am asking for the opportunity to continue defending our freedom and our Constitution by serving in the United States Congress.
I don't see public office as a career. I see it as a continuation of a responsibility that has been passed from generation to generation: to protect the Constitution, defend our freedoms, and leave this country stronger for those who come after us.
The Constitution isn't just a document to me. It's part of my family's story. It's in my DNA.
And, God willing, I'll spend every day in Congress helping President Trump defend it.

Rooted in Faith,
Family, and Country.
Carey Baker's story is rooted in faith, family, and country. Born and raised in Central Florida, Carey learned early that freedom must be defended, families are the foundation of strong communities, and love of country calls each generation to serve.
A Life of Service

Carey and his wife, Lori, have made their home in Eustis, where their family has remained deeply rooted in the Central Florida community. Guided by faith, family, service, and conservative values, Carey's life has been shaped by the same communities he has spent decades serving as a soldier, legislator, small businessman, and taxpayer watchdog.
Conservative Leadership in Tallahassee

Carey served in the Florida House of Representatives and Florida Senate, where he built a reputation as a conservative reformer. He fought for low taxes, reduced wasteful spending, less burdensome regulation, property rights, public safety, and accountability in government. He served in major leadership roles and brought a taxpayer-first mindset to every responsibility.
Fighting for Taxpayers

As Lake County Property Appraiser, Carey focused on making government more accessible, transparent, and accountable. He helped modernize the office, improve online access, expand taxpayer education, protect property owners, and ensure seniors, veterans, homeowners, farmers, churches, charities, and small businesses could better understand exemptions and property information.
Small Business Values

Carey understands the challenges facing Florida businesses because he has lived them. As a small businessman and owner of A.W. Peterson Gun Shop, Carey knows what it means to serve customers, manage an operation, defend the Second Amendment, and deal with government red tape. He brings real-world business experience to the fight for lower taxes, less regulation, and a stronger economy.
Ready for Congress

Washington needs fewer career politicians and more battle-tested conservatives with proven records. Carey Baker is running for Congress to continue the conservative legacy of Congressman Daniel Webster: securing the border, defending constitutional freedoms, supporting President Trump's America First agenda, protecting taxpayers, standing with veterans and law enforcement, and restoring common sense to Washington.
